EG Service consists of building AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) and providing energy management system using the PLC (Power Line Communication) technology. ❖ AMI national power grid establishment business is to replace analog electric meters to digitals and create communication networks between PLC meter and DCU (Data Central Unit). This allows company which produce the electricity to oversee and control the status of total usage of individual houses in real time.
❖This system is to construct and operate total remote electric control system in national/local/business areas and buildings, which enables to stabilize and maximize its efficiency of using the electricity especially in winter or such seasons when the usage is increased.
❖ The Korean government, ministry of trade, industry and energy, is progressing the business which changing old meters to new remote AMI systems to over 2,300 houses by KEPCO at the moment. Targeting 2 million houses and homes per each year and plan to finish in 2022.

❖ In addition to the trend of using “New and renewable energy source development” in modern days, we are now being challenged on the basis of “World Climate Summit” in Paris, 2015 for issues with reduction of CO2. These trends are now affecting the industries in Korea to adapt DR system to reduce the energy spend.
However, apartment type houses and buildings where more than 10 million people reside have no or very limited way to save the electric fare except newly built ones. Of course, the transparency of its controllability is questionable. Therefore, this AMI system will enable to control the total spend of electric in most efficient way and promise the customer with minimum cost for control.
❖ DR (Demanded Response) Business
This business is focused on energy spend control for national wise when it hits its peak level. National electric power company makes contract with companies and factories who wishes to adapt energy saving control system, when the total amount of energy spend in nation reaches its threshold then contracted companies and factories automatically shut down the power spend in order to reduce the level. The supported amount of energy by shutting down will be paid-back as an incentive offer.
❖ In equipment wise, the analog meters will be switched to digitals with PLC, DCU equipments in order to deliver detail information of electricity used amount and its cost, estimated cost for power usage and etc. to the customer in real time.
❖ The system will give daily/weekly/monthly usage pattern including progressive usage information to the customer so as to recognize the most efficient way to reduce electric spend.
❖ Delivered information will allow the customer to identify when the electric has been used mostly and to set future plans for optimization in usage, we expect that at least 10% reduction can be achieved.

DR (Demand Response) is a change in the power consumption of an electric utility customer to better match the demand for power with the supply. In DR, voluntary rationing is accomplished by price incentives-offering lower net unit pricing in exchange for reduced power consumption in peak periods. With own system, IENER_ADR, complying with OpenADR 2.0b specifications, ENERNET successfully adopt the system for DR service meeting international standard of OpenADR-based DR management. The system recruit companies and factories that want to reduce total use of electricity for energy peak management at the government level. Then they could cut down amount of electricity used by themselves in case of increasing demand for power and grant incentive for operation cost of electricity generation.

Using an OCPP(Open Charge Point Protocol) module that allows chargers to communicate with CPOs (Charge Point Operators) based on an open global standard, ENERNET develop the EV Charging Infrastructure System. The system provides transaction management and monitoring features as well as support for firmware updates, local authorization list management, reservations, diagnostics and Smart Charging capabilities.
❖ Previous streetlight control system is limited to panel control only for turning the lights on/off, normally one single panel controls approximately around 50 to 100 streetlights.
It is difficult to maintain the efficiency of lighting system if the individual light is broken-down for no reason or damaged by natural disasters. Therefore, administration departments in Korea such as local governments and the Korea express way cooperation have been reviewing multiple solutions, such as independent light control system, visual safety range maintenance system in accordance with weather condition, power leakage diagnose& control system and etc., in order to save energy and to satisfy the customer.
❖The ENERNET streetlight control solution provides fast and advance service condition to the customer. Based on GIS, the entire city light situation will be data-based and controlled with 24 hours real time surveillance program. Customer can obtain maximum energy saving solution. It also enables to predict the symptom of malfunction in an attempt to prevent safety incident and to conduct advanced maintenance.
❖ Each individual streetlight will have embedded PLC modem for communication with master modem at panel boards. This will allow for customer to have full capability in control by boards unit or local light unit.
❖ If the incidents happen such as power failure, leakage, components break-down (lamp, volt stabilizer, cable route), system will verify exact failure point so that the customer can prepare suitable solution which lead to save maintenance cost and boost up the operational efficiency.

❖ While in construction of ships, vessels and shore plant structures, it is inevitable to have shadow area in working condition which causes communicational problem and safety hazardous issues.
Work environment can be improved with PLC communication system by using electric line which already been installed at the beginning for welding and lighting.
